I haven't been posting anything on my blog for ages and I think most of my friends have stopped doing so as well. Oh wells, has the blogging hype come to an end?

Nevertheless, I am going to reanimate my blog with a lot of pictures with my new picked-up hobby: photography.

I may be a greenhorn in this, but hey, I will improve with time! =D

Great potential in me dont u think? My dSLR has only been with me for less than a month, so I still have lots to explore with it!

I'm so sick of this current layout of my blog.

Shall find a new one soon, or better, hopefully my brain doesnt die on me when i try to learn how to create my own template later.

This is to celebrate the new chapter of my life. For better or for worse, im leaving / i've left IMU, and am joining adelaide uni next year.

I wanna go travel!! Went to the travel agent just now and all the tour packages are so expensive!!!! FML! I'm stuck in my hometown for the next 8 months.

It's been a week and a half since my final exam ended. During exam, I hooked on facebook like i couldnt live without it, but now, I find it tedious to even click on the link. Zzzzz, cari pasal oni, i think the most effective way to ceasing facebook is to get rid of exams!! =DDD which will never happen!

My last paper was Community Oral Health subject. I think we went to sunway for iron man straight away after that paper, cant be sure, my memory has detached me for vacation for a while, time to put it to good rest =DD. The day after that was the annual dental dinner at IMU, was quite fun, gained quite some weight from there lol.

After the dental dinner, we went for a drinking party at a friend’s place. All the funny things u see in the comedy, happened there. All of our true nature unveiled!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA, I think I was laughing most of the time, and all the time I thought my friends were laughing with me instead of laughing AT ME!!!!

On the previous Saturday, we were invited to our dean’s house for dinner. It was really nice to see the other side of her with her family. She was a caring wife and mother, which was totally different from her seriousness in uni. She likes to collects antiques, and she got this phoenix teapot from Tang dynasty which gives up the chirping sound when u poured water out! The dinner was very fun coz her son and her bro-in-law organized a quiz of Malaysia for us, and sadly, I couldn’t answer most of the questions but was just screaming out answers given but my team members. One of my team members *ahem* was very competitive tho, I was quite shocked to see that because it was just a game afterall! HAHAHA

I went back to my hometown over the weekend, gained a lot of weight there without moving, but played with my psp. Came back to vista on Thursday for fun! Went to uni for research meeting, and then to....midvalley for dinner.

Collected my results yesterday *palpitation*, all of us DT108 passed! Am really proud of us! We shall always be remembered as the “legendary” pioneer batch of IMU! Hahahahahah cheeky!

IMU life has ended

My life in IMU has officially ended on friday, mixed feelings, kinda emo the whole week, lol, damn embarrassing to talk abt it lol. I have been extremely lucky to have this bunch of clicks, that made IMU life so much fun.

The next year around, I'll be attending classes in the university of adelaide with amy and psan. To our west lives kamun, su anne and emmy, while to the northeast stays meiting and weijune.

I didnt think i will feel this way, Im kinda shudda wudda cudda if I had.....more guts and more balls to be more crude. But oh wells, I've gotten what I wanted after much consideration. I shall live well, live to the max and rock on!

Found out 4 residential colleges affiliated with AdelUni, namely Aquinas, lincoln, st ann's and st mark's. it's quite expensive but all the meals are taken care of, and cleaning too =D lazy me. Think i'm going for lincoln as it's the nearest to the uni, with attractive facilities too. Gonna ask arnd more to make the final decision.

End of semester in 2 weeks time, gotta start studying soon.

Be back after exam i suppose.

On friday night, I stayed at The Gardens Hotel with my family for free coz my dad was invited to some dinner and they gave him a room for 1 night. The room was quite small but damn expensive, the rate was like RM600-800 per night, crazy. I would never ever spend my own money to stay there, unless i strike lottery someday and maybe I will just go there to have buffet, or maybe not.

I checked into the room with my mum first as my pop went for dinner. Took quite some picture with my phone *jakun*, was really excited at first but got tired after a while. Like small kid

Then went to see doctor coz I've been having this pain on my abdomen for 1 week, I thot the pain was along the transverse and descending colon, and the doctor diagnosed it as colitis, SCORE!, not sure if i shud add a pseudomembranous in front. He was quite good because he took time to listen to me and then he slowly explained to me oso, good impression.

Watched "How to train your dragon" in 3D, and I so want "Toothless" as my pet =DDDDD. Nice show, a bit kiddy but....fine Im just childish at heart.

Then at night, I kinda persuaded my mom to go to zouk for a drink and she got tipsy! HAHAHA super funny, her face was super red.

Yea, I could see the swimming pool from my room, wish the vista's swimming pool was something like this. The gym staff was so strict that we couldnt use any of the equipments without proper shoes =(.

Totally unrelated, but I got my suit for prom! Am planning to wear it to prom, to my sister's wedding, and.....sometime... dunno...when will i ever need it again? Maybe wear it when taking my patient's history, and then change into tunic to start scaling? Vainpot.

In the midst of these happiness hides a sorrow reminder to my summative exam and the 'formatives'. For this semester, there's only dental science exam which is summative. So my plan is, study for dental science now, then when the formatives draw near, I'll just study for DP for at most 2 times, then chiong for DS. Then enjoy my prom on saturday to the fullest, and starts to study for med science on sunday for a bit, coz it's formative. Cant help, I promise I'll revise MSK when the EOS is over K??? If I have time =p by then.

Nothing much has happened recently.

Except for today, I went for an x-ray and MRI, which cost a bomb. Thank god Im all good.

The experience in the MRI 'spaceship' was awesome, and fortunately I was not claustrophobic or else I would have had seizure in there. I lied down in that very narrow tunnel consciously for 5 minutes and went into sleep for 15 mins. LOL, the operator was speaking through the mic, like wat u see in grey's anatomy, to tell me not to swallow saliva when the machine starts.

I had my cervical spinal cord checked to clear off the suspicion that it might be compressed. Now, I have this 1 radiograph of my hand with 3 other sheets of my MRI scanning, awesome rite??? In fact, these are the most expensive plastic sheets that I've ever possessed. I thot it was really a waste coz everything came out to be fine, but my mum was like it was worth knowing that nothing was wrong with me. Guilty feeling.

My birthday is coming in a few weeks. My 21st!!! I've gotten my 'key' to my freedom!! It's hanging on my neck now lol. Well, it costs as much as the MRI, i feel conned getting scanned.

Happy lunar new year!!

Hey! it's not over, so there's nothing wrong with that greeting. Chinese celebrate their new year for the first 15 days of the year, so anytime in between, it's still ok to wish ppl happy new year!!

The money i got from collecting all the red envelopes is quite a small sum this year. I think it's because i was so desperately running to other old frens' place without invitation, and then have to put on this surprised look when their parents give me angpows. HAHAHA, but the major contributor to the pool of money is still my father, followed by my mum~, no wait, my sister second then only mum.

My sister handed me my angpow when she was back during last christmas. Initially she was like laughing there when she was giving me and guess what? I opened it to find 1 ringgit -,-". I was rolling on the floor throwing tantrum(fake 1) and she was laughing her ass off. LOL She topped it up ler after a while.

Today received a bomb from our community module lecturer, we have to write this essay on fluoridation for 1000 words, i feel nonchalant but lazy ler.

I will have to submit my partner dental school matching form by the end of this week and i think i will do so by tomorrow. The thing is, i still have no idea to put adelaide or queensland as my first choice. I am really impressed by the adelaide dental school but then....guess u noe what i will say next. UQ wise, great city, great people, kinda-ok weather, but uni...im just not confident about it.

Going to a fren's place to eat prawn noodles~ it's her birthday today. weeeheeeeheee prawn noodles~

The chronicles of my swimming goggles

I've been swimming quite frequently in recent, and all the while I've been using this anti-fog swimming goggles which i bought last year. Being a very hangat hangat tahi ayam person, I bought this anti-fog gel and applied it to my goggles lens enthusiastically. Guess wat? apparently the original anti-fog coating on the speedo goggles was not compatible with the gel i bought, and the result is shown below.

The inner lens now has this permanent fogged up layer which will only go away for 20 seconds after coming into contact with pool water.

I was freaking angry loh, the original price was 50 ringgit, but i bought it for 50% off. Yes, I trounced it. HAHA I do drink a lot of yakult, su anne saw me bought 3 packs in 1 go and she was shocked.

MY solution: Bought a new pair~!! hehe looks so cool. Quite expensive tho, but the lady was saying that the adjustable strap screw was really tight and i really needed that, bighead. I read the manual and it says there to use speedo anti-fog spray to have longer lasting antifog effect. But I'm really scared to use my antifog gel coz it's from some japanese company(VIEW), and I just dun want the same thing to happen to my sexy new goggles. The solution costs me around 30 ringgit, sighs. But the speedo shop doesnt have their own antifog spray...where to get?

hahahahaha, cant wait to try it on, it comes with the holey holey bag =D

Treated my first patient today, she was really nice and patient. I did scaling and polishing for her, as well as charting, so much more to do for the next appointment.

Something funny happened tho. Um, I was about to finish scaling, but then suddenly I saw stars circling on my head and I couldnt see anything. I dunno what happened, then I walked to the dispensary room calling for help. I kinda saw Dr hanan's figure and called out to her. Then, I heard a 'yeah' and she left. I felt helpless and walked back to my dental chair. Of course I couldnt see, but I estimated the walking distance and saw a chair figure and I slammed onto it. My assistant yunteng was perplexed, then I spoke to her in mandarin that I was gonna faint, and told her to chat with my patient for a little. LOL. I tilted my head lower to let the blood flow a bit, all the while with cold sweat all over. I could see more clearly after a while, then i rushed to the dispensary room again(this time with vision LOL) and told the dental staffs about my condition. Miss Kat gave me a glass of warm water and Halls sweet, and gosh! It was life saving. and then i recovered without complications and proceeded with polishing.

Man, why did this happen? Vaso-vagal or hypoglycemic? For one thing I'm sure of, this is something that I will never ever forget in my life, my first patient treating experience.

What do you mean this dressing room has only one bottle of water????!!! SMASH!

Dental rubber dam

Rubber dam is very useful and ......useful...cant think of another word LOL.

What it does is, it protects the cavity prepared from being contaminated by saliva. More so, it helps with moisture control, and increasing the visibility of the dentist as the colour is normally bright. It protects the patient's airway as well if u wan to argue, albeit painful during application.

But, one function that every single dental practical book fails to explain is....

After receiving the news that sydney is out of the picture, I think that I've lost consciousness for a moment. Like seriously, I've been striving so hard and all these times, all i could see was sydney opera house.

At that moment, it was as if my dream was shattered and my surrounding momentarily stopped for a few minutes. I could see the dust falling down from the ceiling, and the stagnant air just blocked me from moving further. It felt like I saw my girlfriend sleeping in the bed with another *** and I felt so cheated!! seriously! OMGHOLYMAMA, I really did not bother getting angry, just a tinge of disappointment. Ask me why? Let me tell u, apart from being able to cope with ample amount of stress, the other thing that I've learned in IMU is to "accept fate" and not complain, because in the end, I'll just look like an idiotic monkey jumpingaround asking for refund for my rotten bananas.

I can't blame anyone, blame myself for not have studied harder for SAM exam, blame myself for being lazy to apply to other dental unis, blame myself for trusting *** will be my platform to wherever I want to go and not be manipulated like a fool.

Resentment aside, I am considering between Queensland and Adelaide now. It's not like I will definitely get wat I want because God knows what will they rank the students upon and how will the results get twisted after being "filtered" by my beloved ***.

After all the disappointment, I can farking care abt the weather or the institution's reputation or ranking now, still, I cant decide whether Queensland or Adelaide. But I'm more inclined to Queensland for now. I'm back to the starting point where I'll have to spend every second looking at the uni's website to help me make my decision.

Queensland. I could care less abt the weather now. Just that I'm not very confident with their dental school. Yes Im ignorant.

Should i go Adelaide? I dunno, I noe the dental school is very very good but I'm just scared that it might turn out to be a dead city like Tasmania, no offense. Fine, I'm just way too ignorant.
